Allan White enlisted in the US Navy in 1943 serving on the USS Tatum an escort destroyer in both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. Allan joined WCPO-TV in 1959 and served as a pioneer TV journalist. Allan served WCPO as a journalist, producer, editor, and Film archivist. During his more than 9,000 Broadcast he interviewed notables like Hank Aaron and President Harry Truman. He was inducted into the Society of Professional Journalist Hall of Fame as well as the National Academy for Television Arts and Sciences. He was a proud example of The Greatest Generation in the United States of America. Allan died on Dec8, 2018 surrounded by his family.
