The most important award she received was graduating with academic honors. This gave me the opportunity to enter the #1 nursing Program in Ohio. 1.I was a member of the Library club, FHA, Tri-Hi-Y and Daytonian staff. 2. Member of the chorus and Band 3.Majorette for 2 yrs. and Head drum Majorette senior year 4.Campbell County Twirling Champion(first junior to win the award). Held the title for 2years. 5. First Northern Kentucky Twirler to win and represented their HS and NKY in the Shrine Circus twirling competition. Won 2nd runner-up Junior year and won 1st runner-up senior year. It was fun since the 5 finalists also competed in the USTA competition. 6.Awarded The Superior State Twirling ranking within the state of Kentucky.1St Place 7.Attended Eastern State Twirling clinic and UK Twirling Clinic 8.State Runner-up Majorette twirling competition- I had the honor to be the Head Majorette with this fine group of twirlers. 9. Participated in the Junior and Senior plays. 10.Extra activities and competition representing DHS and Dayton. Competed and won multiple twirling awards within the United States twirling association. Became an assistant Judge while being mentored by Mr. Mundrell a national judge with the USTA. 11. Prom Queen 1963 12. 1st attendant Coronation Dance 13.Bicentennial Spirit of 76 Queen(Selected by the Dayton Ky. City Council). 14. Miss Northern Kentucky,1strunner-up, Miss Boone County 1st and 2nd runner-up . 15. Last but most enjoyable was teaching twirling and preparing my students to compete and receive many twirling awards. My High school education and competitive twirling prepared me for my future professions and awards. coached the 1963 squad to a 2nd Place at State and the 1964 squad to 1st Place in 1964. My nursing preference was surgery which I had the opportunity to be an OR Instructor and Education Supervisor, Assistant Director and Director of Surgery. I completed my BS degree in Business Administration at Thomas More University. GPA 3.8. Worked on my MBA at Northern Kentucky University. This opened opportunities in Surgical and Pharmaceutical Sales. Companies that I was a part of their sales teams were P&G, Johnson & Johnson Orthopedic Division. Bausch & Lomb Pharmaceutical sales -awarded President Club and Pfizer Opthalmology receiving multiple Sales achievement awards. I was a member of the Division of the year award with the Southern and Central Divisions with Johnson & Johnson. I received several sales achievement awards and promoted to one of five National sales trainers. I also was an Admission Nurse and Community educator for Vitas Hospice developing Hospice programs within The Long term care facilities in Cincinnati area. My career was enlightening, enjoyable and as I think back teachers at DHS that influenced me to be disciplined, goal orientated, focus on teaching and always stay focused on the team effort were Dr. Frank Lyons, Miss Marie Becker, Miss Held and Miss Carol Howard.
