Ms. Hanes is an innovative, diversified healthcare professional with a wide range of leadership experience. She completed her initial baccalaureate education at the University of Cincinnati and went on to study administration at the University of Michigan and the University of Cincinnati. She brings a versatile skill set including major strengths in problem solving, financial and operational analysis, and developing and implementing functional systems. Her broad experience ranges from managing staff in the hospital environment, to developing and managing the customer service activities in a technology based software firm, to processing public funding for major facilities expansion at a state university, to successfully leading a major construction project as the treasurer of a large not-for-profit board of directors. Ms. Hanes is a dedicated humanitarian. She has served on several not- for-profit managing/working boards and she has traveled numerous times to the poorest areas of Zimbabwe to bring healing resources to people in need.

Developed and coordinated 10-week critical care work study program for junior baccalaureate nursing students. This program proved to be an excellent recruiting tool for hiring new graduate baccalaureate nurses into the critical care setting. The program became a 2 credit hour elective course at the senior level for the University of Michigan, School of Nursing.
