Born 09/23/1934 @ 315 3rd St. Dayton, KY
Mom ,Homemaker, Father, Dayton Policeman.
One of 6 Hundemer boys, all grads of DHS.       Volunteer:  Dayton Volunteer Fire Dept. 2 yrs. Cincinnati Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired,15 yrs, USAF Museum, Dayton,OH 2 yrs,  Winter haven, FL Civilian Volunteer Police Dept,3 yrs.             
Graduated Ohio Mechanics Institute 1955.
Graduated United States Air Force Academy (1st. class) 1959. Entered pilot training 1959, graduated with “Wings” in 1961, completed Combat Crew Training and B47 qualification 1962, served in SAC until 1965. Hired by American Air Lines 3/1/65.
       Trained & rated as DC6/7 flight engineer 1966, copilot B727,707, DC10, 1973.  Upgraded to Captain in each one, 1973, & flying out of five of American’s bases(NY,DC,ORD,DAL,DFW) domestic & international.
        Served as Allied Pilots Association representative (union rep) 18 months. Rated as check airman for AAL, then Flight Academy flight instructor, then as FAA  Program Designee for flight checks and Captain upgrade training,1977 until 1994.      
      On 09/22/1994, John flew his last trip on a BOEING 767 from Brussels, Belgium to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. It was a beautiful flight crossing the north Atlantic, a rare clear scenic view of Greenland, 2 meals and a movie, and a scheduled arrival at DFW.
      After a brief cake and Champaign party in the flight office, I was officially retired by federal edict as being to old ( 60 ) to do the job safely.
