Terry was born and raised in Dayton, Ky. attending school there. While in High School Terry played football for 3 years and in 1959 was selected to play in the NKy. Senior AIl-Star game. As a senior Terry was awarded the Student-Athlete “Campbell-Award,” Following High School Terry attendee Morehead State College earning a BA degree in 1964 and an MA degree in 1968. Terry extended his education at Xavier University where he earned a Rank-1 and administration certificate in 1974. Terry taught in multiple school systems while coaching football. these included. Ludlow – Dayton – Bellevue – Campbell Co.and Henry Co where he served 3 years as an elementary Principal. Terry retired from education in 1992. He continued to serve the school system as a substitute teacher. Terry has been a member of the Dayton Baptist Church since 1954 serving as a Deacon – Trustee – and Sunday School Teacher. During this time he has served on the Baptist Disaster relief team serving to restore business following floods. Terry has proudly served as a member of the Gideons Internationals, speaking and handing out Bibles in many area churches. Terry has traveled extensively in the U.S. snd abroad having visited all 50 US states as well as Canada, Mexico, Europe, Israel, Egypt, Morocco and Peru. Terry serves the Campbell Co /Kentucky retired teachers associations, serving as Treasurer, Vice-President and President.
